Examination-in-chief is an integral part of court proceedings. It has been depicted by many series/tv shows.

Given below is a list of some prominent tv shows/movies depicting examination in chief.
Grey's Anatomy

Grey's Anatomy is an American Television show that is focused on the life of the doctors at Seattle Grace Hospital. Among these doctors is Callie Torres, who practices orthopedics. In episode 9 of the 10th season of Grey's Anatomy, a malpractice suit is filed against Callie for a surgery on a professional snowboarder gone wrong, resulting in a loss of limb. Examination-in-chief can be seen in Greys anatomy, episode 6, season 10. (Time- 16:03 - 18:06).
During Callie's trial, witnesses are both examined and cross-examined. Callie is cross-examined by her counsel's opposing counsel while Travis Scott, her former patient who files the lawsuit, is examined by his own counsel. While Callie is fired at with leading questions, Travis is asked no leading questions on the stand. This is because during examination, the witness called on the stand is favourable to your case, therefore lacking any reason to be intimidated. On the other hand, leading questions are allowed during cross-examination in order to obtain the information needed to make one's case well during a trial.
The trial ends with Callie being pronounced not guilty of medical negligence and/or malpractice
